What's the story - seems to be freshly killed - did a cat get it? Can't find an explanation anywhere other than negative news that it hasn't been seen.

I notice another nighthawk has just been seen flying in off the sea at the Lizard - 17.00hrs. Thank god I've seen one...

Fantastic and a Scarlet Tanager in Ireland and a Grey-cheeked Thrush in France (see Euro Stop Press). Nighthawk would be a fantastic self-found bird - in-off the sea would really get the blood flowing.

The St Mary's Nighthawk was run over on the main road - it was very fresh though and clearly newly arrived
