This report by Ewan Urqhart includes a sighting of two Spoon-billed sands at Yangkou, near Shanghai - as well as a good array of waders. Exciting stuff!

Also Saunders' Gulls, Relict Gulls, Nordmann's Greenshank, Chinese Egret and Black-faced Spoonbill amongst others...such as Sharpie and Little Curlew etc... never mind the excellent Chinese seafood meal plus a bottle of the local beer in a restaurant by the fishing boats.
Took me rather longer than a couple of days though... Quality birds!
Ther Yangkou area appears to be in danger of reclamation - as are so many other parts of East Asia
