Bushnell sells a large volume of binoculars. Most are junk, but of course better than nothing. I would skip all the Poweviews and H2Os.

To me, acceptable beginner models
Legend 8x42, 10x roofs
Legend 8x42 porros
Excursion 8x42, 8x32
not so much the Excursion EX...optics OK otherwise but I found the diopter way off..possibly quality issues

The higher end are hit and miss...someone else can list their experiences.

hi i have recently taken ownership of a pair of bushnell elite 8x43 binoculars, they were a warranty replacement for my faulty bausch and lombe 8x42's.,i have finallly had chance in using them in all sorts of situations, and i must say they out performed my bausch and lombe pair!!, i was very surprised, in the uk they are currently £500 and are superb for the price and are well worth look at.

Yes, the elite is definitely up there. Bushnell is trying to use the name in a second line, such as Bushnell Elite e2 8x42. But they are not fooling anybody. They are as good as Nikon Monarch or any 300 dollar pair, but they are not even the best 500 dollar pair.
