Photo Gallery Comments

I find that if I make a comment on a photo and "press the button" to submit, I am left with a blank screen. I have to go back to my home page and log on again to get back to the Forum.

Anyone else experience this?

me too, and when i refresh the page it says that i have submited the comment twice:err:

Me too. I just use the browser drop-down 'back' button and go back 2 or 3 steps to the home page, that way you don't have to log on again.

Thanks for the report. It's a bug on the "to do" list to fix.

Good; and while you are at it, can you try a fix for the problem of not being able to get back to the Forum after browsing numerous photos in the gallery without clicking on Members List > Surfbirds Bird Forums. Not a really big deal, but a "Forum Home" button would be useful.

Still a problem here for me; if I look at several photos in member's galleries, there is a "button" at top left which says "Surfbirds Forums" - clicking this does not get me back to the Forum home page, I either have to click the "Back button" numerous times or go to Members List and click on Surfbirds Forum there.

A trifle annoying!

Your browser should have a drop-down beside the 'back' button, which lets you go back 10 or 15 pages at a go

My New Year's Resolution is to cut down on "clicking"!! :laugh:

I just wasn't sure whether Admin were aware that this facility still wasn't working. If I click on the "Surfbirds Forum" button once, nothing happens - if I click on it again it says "no image to display", so there is a little problem somewhere.

I had never used that drop-down menu in the "Back" button - Ta for that.

Sorry, should have been clearer as there are now 2 bugs reported in this thread. What is fixed is the photo comment issue (where you got a blank screen after submitting a comment or sometimes comment was then sbmitted twice if you hit refresh to get rid of the blank screen).

The issue about making it easier to go from albums to forum still needs to be resolved. However, in meantime, "a not very intuitive but at least it will help" short-term workaround is to click on the folder icon http://surfbirds.com/forum/images/misc/navbits_start.gif next to "Surfbirds Bird Forums" to go directly back to forums.
