Portable storage devices

Does anyone have experience of portable storage devices to down load memory cards 'in the field' such as the Vosonic VP 5500, the couple of reports I have read seem quite negative and now the netbooks are on the scene I thought about buying one of them instead.

I use the Canon M80 which is very good and quite fast and allows easy tranfer of files to PC. i also have used one of the Epson which i think is better than the Canon. The Epson is a lot faster to navigate but is slighty heavier,but both fit into a jacket pocket with ease. Hope you find what your looking for
