I saw this bird this morning outside my window above my feeders. I live on Bungay Lake in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Any help identifying it would be appreciated.

I believe it is an American Goldfinch but not a typical bird. It seems very washed out without the usual bright yellow. The head and tail pattern do fit.
I do not have experience of a winter or juvenile bird moulting into adult plumage and that is probably what it is.

Yep, American Goldfinch, a male starting to get back into summer plumage a bit unseasonably early.

I didn't think it was a goldfinch because he was so "puffed out". I have seen a male goldfinch at my feeders with brighter yellow feathers than usually seen this time of year.
Thanks for the prompt replies.

The color of the bill gave it away for me, I agree American Goldfinch
