Wintering Ospreys??

Hi everyone,

I realise it is highly unlikely, but I have a friend who swears blind that she has regualrly seen Ospreys this winter in the southwest of England. I of course said that what she has been watching is a very pale Buzzard, possibly even a Rough Leg. However, she claims to have seen it/them FISHING!

Has anyone heard anything similar???

Hi Hedwig,

Ospreys are do sometimes winter. Never more than a couple a year if that but it does happen.
