Fly-by, but what ?

I'm often amazed by the detailed knowledge of your replies - last week I took the shot below. I thought I'd seek your suggestions on the identity of the fly-by. I'm reasonably sure I know what it was but, you may have other ideas ;-)

Beg to disagree with Andy and Roy on a technicality - the Starling is a "hitch-hiker" riding on the back of the Chaffinch. :laugh::laugh::laugh:
