Spotted this bird at Farlington Marshes, Hampshire. Reported the find to the British Birds Register and it will be included in the 2009 report.

The editor said he has never received a report from Hampshire since he started work on the register.

Peter
I used to see Twite regularly at Dibden Bay in the early 70s.

Good one!
What's the "British Birds Register"? Twite isn't a BB rarity, it only needs to go to your local County Records Committee, if it is a county rarity.
Still get decent numbers of them wintering in Northumbs, had a flock of ~150 last month.

Thanks Brian & Michael.
The bird is a County rarety and it is the County Records committee that I reported it to. I believe there has been a reported sighting in Keyhaven too.
I should have said 2009 Report and not Register:ohdear:.
