Hi,
We are new to bird watching but are staying in Puglia, the heel of Italy for a couple of months. We are staying by the coast with lots of little marshy/sandy bays. So far we ahve seen today about 20 little egrets, 15 oyster catchers, 250 storm petrels or we think they are as they're out to sea flying low small and dark and landing in the sea. A black-winged stilt very pretty and some slender billed gulls with very light pink brests about 20 of these. 3 grey herons, a male hen harrier.
Something that looked like a bar tailed godwit but not too sure will try to photograph but don't have much of a zoom on our camera, little wading birds that look like kentish plover but again not to sure does anybody know this area???
