Been busy over the last couple of weeks and my Bigma is still not back from repair. I do miss this lens:cry:
I have been concentrating on learning to use the Macro lens and have to say it is a joy:smile:. The focal length is too short for birding but I heard about a pair of Peregrine nesting nearby and was determined to get some shots in. The bird was about 250' up and I only had a 300mm lens so excuse the quality of the shot -t would have been far better with the Bigma.

There is a watch on this site and I understand that someone has already been arrested for attempting to scale the cliff to get at the nest:eek:. I guess it takes all kinds.

Cheers for now

Peter

thats a nice shot peter, I know what you mean about it taking all kinds, in my local town of derby, there was someone pretending to be collecting money for the peregrines, and for the cathedral they were nesting on, but of course this was only for his benefit!

Thanks Michael. The bad news is that I noticed the police spotter plane circling the cliff top and then the police arrived in a car. I do hope that it was not another person having a go to get the chicks:hmpf:. I shall look out for the local news to see if all is still well.

Just to update you on the Peregrine. The youngsters all fledged  (two female and one male) and have now left the area. This is the second year they have nested at the same site so I expect to see them again next year.
