Where have my hummers gone?

I have been feeding about 4-8 hummingbirds in my backyard for a few weeks now. About 5 days ago our area had a terrific thunderstorm and lots of hail. I have not seen one single sign of a hummingbird since then. Where did they go??

Hi and welcome to the forum. I would be surprised if the storm drove them away permanently unless they were just migrants and decided to move on ahead of the storm. Have they returned yet?

Maybe they are feeding chicks and concentrating more on finding protein-rich insect food for them?
