Off to near Siena in early July  - anyone with any local experience have any pointers as to what to look out for?
Thanks

Hi
Nice area round there. You should easily see all of the classic species like Sardinian Warbler, Hoopoe, Wryneck, Beeeater, Serin etc. Raptors may also be pretty good with things like Honey Buzzard and Black Kite. You may be lucky also with species like Fan-tailed Warbler, Lesser Grey Shrike, Crested Lark and Woodchat Shrike although that will depend a bit on habitat as they are towards the north of their Italian range there.
