This afternoon it started to cloud up so i decided to go find my Red Headed Woodpeckers. I went to where they were last year and found nothing, although i saw one there yesterday. So iwent to where i saw a Red Headed Chasing a bug one morning. As i pulled up to the area i saw a Red Headed fly across the road into a tree. The tree as you will see is the Nest Cavity. Enjoy

Totally gorgeous!
I've never seen one like that :)

May I ask what you used to "shoot" these?

May I ask what you used to "shoot" these? I use a Canon 40D with a canon EF 500 L IS lens with a 1.4 can extender.
Shot from 100ft
