I sold my wifes scope last week now this is mine. We have reverted back to cameras for our photographs which is the only reason for the sale.

Errrm,
Barry, how are you and your wife digiscoping if you have sold (or are selling) both of your 'scopes?

I have corrected the ad. I made a slip with words. You may be a senior member but i am not still in school you know. Are you an appointed policeman for the site????
Anyway, my listings are genuine and I don't really care what your opinion is.

Because Barry, unless members keep an eye on postings (have you seen the amount of increasingly ingenious "spam" on this forum recently?) the forum is susceptible to any "Tom, Dick & Harry" using the forum as a "car-boot sale" to unload goods for no other reason than financial gain.
Members wishing to sell personal items is one thing, using the forum to extend one's ebay enterprise is something else. I note that to date you have made eight posts here, all involving "flogging optical gear", none to do with birding.
Speaks for itself really.

Colin, I sort of agree with you but surely there is nothing wrong with your members being offered quality genuine articles for birding on this site. I am sure many of your members appreciate the items that are offered and are surely intelligent enough to decide for themselves whether the item is good for them or not.
I do not buy and sell items other than the Minox which I did buy extras to sell because I did not know there were available in the UK until you advised me otherwise. In that situation I just wanted to cover my costs of importation.
In any event the items I have offered do all relate to birding and offer excellent value and saving from new. A real benefit to your members? I will leave it to them to decide.

Your price for the swarovski scope, while cheaper than new, is still to much. Secound hand swarovski scopes can be picked up much cheaper than this with a little research and patience. I would bet that with the new ATM's out at the moment,at a ridiculess price new, will no doubt sell, so some secound hand ATS's will come onto the market. Cheers , A.
