Would anyone like to comment on these images of a 'probable' Eastern Marsh Harrier photographed well as part of a large movement of Western Marsh Harriers at Falsterbo on 8 Sept 2009?

It is a long time since I last saw EMH, and though it looks exciting to me, I wondered if any with more experience could look at them and comment. I feel sure this would be a first for the WP if proven....

Some coments on Netfugl Brian might be of interest. There would surely be more said about this peculiar bird.

I'll go for Eastern marsh harriers.... !!!! GREATTTT!!!!!
I've been wondering about this species for a wehile as a potential vagrant to WP as among the 6-7000 marsh I see each year in Italy we have seen 3 times some amazingly like EMH at migration in Messina but always no photos so never submitted or even seriously thought about....
so, great job...
I may comment better on moult and plumage later once back home after 3 months birding out...
But only possibility would be an hybrid MHx Hen that does not really spring to my mind

cheifly, the bird labelled as juv. and adult female were indeed very alike EMH....
So, I think its a likely candidate at least....
And this Sweden bird has been gretyl documented....
nice case to study on...
good night I'm very tired by guiding birders around, an hard work :-)

On the following images, note the pale base to the primaries of the female EMH.
Eastern Marsh Harrier - though spilonotus treated as a subsp. of Eurasian on OBC.
