Hi, can anyone tell me what this one is please?

Difficult one Michael, but I would go for "March Moth" caterpillar (Alsophila aescularia).

What sort of bush was it feeding on?

Hi colin,
I actually found it on teasels as i was clearing a garden, that was predominantly all there was close to it. At first i thought it was a type of hawk moth, it was quite fast for a caterpillar, it had gone by the time i went to get the proper camera, this was taken on my phone
