  • Bird ID - Gulls Along Rhine River, Germany

    Hi Folks:

Thanks so much for all your help in identifying these old slides of mine. Here is another very poor quality photo of some gulls (?) that were feeding along the Rhine River in Germany in the month of July several years ago. They were located on some rolling hills not too far from the river.

I know the photo is horrible but I am hoping by process of elimination, you might know what they are, as it seems a little odd for gulls to be feeding in the middle of a grassy hillside. (Unless there is another white bird they could be but the size and shape looks gull-like to me.)

Again, thanks so much for your help. I know you like a good challenge!

Black-headed Gulls moulting into non-breeding plumage?

I hope that you haven't got too many images of this quality Joni

Eeeww! Probably Black-headed Gulls, but I can't rule out plastic bags, or almost anything else white.

Either Black-headed Gulls or Sheep. Possibly Black-headed Sheep.
