    Took these photos today. The first two photos are from birds in a huge flock, but you only see them when they fly away . Some kind of Pipit?

    The last 3 are probably Chiffchaff again.

      Thank you. Never thought about Corn Buntings, normally I see a lot of Larks and Meadow Pipits on that spot.

        Hi Bert Corn Buntings are very common in the Alentejo and form locks in the winter. They are rather chunky birds, which should distinguish them from pipits, although some larks can look quite chunky too Terry

          I meant flocks, not locks! You can see the stubby bill clearly on one photo too
