    Default Herring Gull?

While having a look through the gulls at Milton CP (Cambs) today, I came across this bird. Haven't seen one with a bi-coloured bill like this before.

    Default gull

Looks like a fairly dingy but normal 2nd winter (3rd cal year) herring gull to me. It looks odd because at first glance it is dark enough to be a 1st winter, but 1st winter birds have dark eyes and all-dark bills, so give an altogether different look to the head.
