Enclosed here is a photograph of a spread wing of a Steppe Gull (Larus fuscus barabensis) taken in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. I have a few photographs of wings of dead birds but this one has the most accurate colour rendition and shows various features of the sub-species.
Steppe Gull is the most common Large White-headed Gull occurring in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia with 75-85% of all LWHG present in the winter this psecies.
I hope the picture is of some use to the gull enthusiasts out there. Other information can be found here http://www.birdsofsaudiarabia.com/20...t-al-fasl.html for those interested.
