Birdlife has published the first videos of an endangered Mao at the nest.
Both the Mao and Manumea are enadangered birds endemic to Samoa. Both have been declining rapidly and we are working out why and what to do about it.
This is the first two nest ever found for the Mao and it has some pretty exciting stuff but I will not spoil them for you.
If you are interested in viewing them and reading the article go to:
More infomation on the project on the Mao and Manumea are also avaliable at our website www.samoanbirds.com
If you like the look of our work please pass on infomation about these species to the public so if you have ideas/contacts or want to spread the word around the world via twitter or facebook that would be great! Any other suggests on how to spread infomation on these conservation projects are also welcome.
Alternatively if you or your organisation want to support us by contributing to transmitters, audio recorders, nest cameras and rat traps we would also love to hear from you.
Enjoy the videos!
