Spring migration in the yard
Always exciting to see the first of spring Black-headed Grosbeaks at the feeders. In 15 minutes of casual observation looking out the kitchen window and at the same time feeding the baby and a 3yr old, the drizzly conditions had brought down some nice birds. Best being a cracking male, first of spring, Lazuli Bunting at the feeders, the vagrant female Indigo Bunting still present, plus Ash-throated Flycatcher, Black-headed Grosbeak and Hooded Oriole. Still attempting to attract orioles in to the feeder. Attached are some digiscoped pics from the weekend. Mourning Dove not a migrant just attached as it was the best photo I got after the sun came out.
