    Took this photo today but am confused about the long legs among other things

    Can you help me out?

    I would think it's a first-winter Yellow-legged Gull, Bert. The length of all gulls' legs seems to vary, depending on stance, weather etc.

    Thank you Terry, it was not the best photo I ever took

    But "The length of all gulls' legs seems to vary, depending on stance, weather etc." is completely new to me. I just started on Gulls but it is a hell of a job. Hope I will learn a lot more about Gulls.
