Took a pleasant stroll around Stoney Bayou's 1 & 2 this afternoon down at St Marks NWR and totaled over 50 species in a couple of hours. Highlights included an adult Snow Goose, 6 Sandhill Cranes heading east, Vermilion Flycatcher, Common Goldeneye, a spectacular raft of 43 Hooded Mergansers, killer looks at Marsh and Sedge Wrens and last but not least Gators galore! Every bank and grassy knoll had a basking Gator lying on top. One of 'em was a monster!
