Not entirely sure what this is. Any ideas? Taken a couple of days ago in a small hedgerow in south Devon.
This looks like Blue Anemone (Anemone apennina) to me. It flowers in March/April but did not know it occurred so far north.

Any way it does look like the blue Anemone,(Anemone apennina ) as Colin says but it is an introduction. Popular garden centre plant at this time of year.
There are two species of alien Blue Anemone A. apennia and A. blanda both are similar to look at but apennia is the more common. Stace in lit mentions the pubescence of the sepals as a deciding factor.
I have one Suffolk record in remnant gardens of an old Hall.
Only A. nemorosa is native to the UK A. apennia normally flowers earlier than blanda. your BSBI county recorder should be able to determine the species.
