    Default pipit at rainham

Photos of a Richard's Pipit at Rainham on UK stop press gallery appear to show a slim bill and restricted supercilium - in front and behind eye. What do other's think?

    Hi Brian,
Oddly enough, and despite the fact that I've only ever seen 2 Richard's Pipits to date, I did find the thin-billed appearance of the Rainham bird most interesting, prompting thoughts of a species that I have yet to see, but must admit to often having problems with based on photos as well, so I would be slow to claim it as a Blyth's, though it's surely a good candidate...?
