    Default Mallorca

We always stay in the Pollensia area. You have the Boquer Valley just behind you.The road through Casa Velles to Formentor which is NE of the town.
La Albufera wetlands to the south of Alcudia.
There should be some bird reports on Surfbirds

If you get chance, 'A birdwatching guide to Mallorca' by Jon King and Graham Hearl is a great buy and give very clear direction to great birding spots, including the valley behind (which is not obvious without map and directions, but is spectacular). Also some other really good places include the nature reserve just down from Alcudia (about 20 minute drive if I recall correctly) and if time permits, I would head into the hills and the highest reservior on the island (Lake Cuba?). Again a great, but very hot, location to bird. The book would also guide you to lesser known places and none are too far by hire car.
