If you are interested in wildlife and want to know more about bird watching, come along to Peterborough Bird Club’s annual event on Sunday, 14th September from 10.00am till 4.00pm opposite the Visitor Centre in Ferry Meadows.
Our emphasis this year is to make people aware of the bird watching opportunities in and around Peterborough and help them to identify the birds that can be found in Ferry Meadows. The activities will include guided walks, lead by local members, starting from the Visitor Centre at 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 1300, 14.00 and 15.00. There will be telescopes and binoculars for people to try out. Nest boxes will be for sale and members will give advice on siting them. There will also be a treasure hunt for children.
All these activities are free, so come and meet the members of your local bird watching club.
