This is a great place to visit although if travelling in by car make sure you only come in by the main St Austell road.

The town itself is very picturesque and leads onto the inner harbour front. Beyond the inner harbour entrance is the outer harbour which has sea wall and a lighthouse at its opening.

The outer harbour contains a number of rocks close to the shore which are used by various seabirds. During my visit a Shag, Turnstones, Herring Gulls and Black-backed gulls were sitting on the rocks. I shall be posting some of these images later.

The image above was taken from the cliff tops overlooking the outer harbour. This was no mean feat as I had to climb steps with the dog on a lead in one hand and the E3/Sigma 50-500 in the crook of my other arm. I think it was worth it.
