Welcome to Surfbirds Forums!
That's a very nice shot of Collared Praticole in your Gallery - well done.
Hope you enjoy the community.

Welcome Dorothy. You have some very nice images in your gallery. I would concur with what Peter D said (as a comment on one of your shots) in that these ought to be (deserve to be!) larger in both dimension and filesize. I would like to see that Collared Pratincole at 800 pixels longest dimension and saved as maximum quality JPEG.
As a photographer I would also be interested in what equipment you use and what the camera settings were.

Just picked up on this thread. Welcome to the forum. You have a very good eye for composition as well as good clear and sharp images. Its been a pleasure to see them and look forward to some more.

Thanks very much for your comments Colin, I have added my Pratincole to my album at a larger size. The equipment I use is a Canon EOS 40D and Canon 350D with a EF100-400mm/f5.6 lens which I have been very pleased with. As I said to PeterD, I am only an amateur (not at all technical) I just love taking images of birds. Have enjoyed Surfbirds site very much.
Thanks from Sussexbirder
