Hello to Quebecois et Quebecoise
Hello Laval Roy and all!
I just joined and looked at the memberlist. Laval was easy to spot as we're both under "L".
I think I'll go to the St-Hubert airport today and look for the Snowies.

Finding the Snowies was too easy
Hi Peter and Brian,
There's a major influx of Snowies coming "down South" and coming early, probably due to a high survival rate of chicks this year. I live just east of Montreal, not far from a small airport surrounded on 2 sides by open agricultural fields. This area always attracts Snowies. I thought I'd go and check it out but of course other birders and photographers beat me to it as their parked cars, telescopes and big bazooka cameras indicated exactly where to look.

Hi Leah and welcome to the forum. Snowy Owl is a nemesis bird for me in North America. Every time I go to see the inlaws in Chicago at Christmas I somehow manage to strike out on very easy birds. Although, there is currently one in a parking lot of a shopping mall outside Chicago sitting on lamp-posts and swooping down between the parked cars to pick up rats. Anyway, not sure if you take photos but please post some pics if you get some.
