Hi there,
At present there are two Lesser White Fronted Geese in Brittany
at Langueux in Cotes d'Armor in the northern tip being spotted well.
A Chilien Flamingo is now in the Bay of Mont St Michel with Cranes for its tenth year consecutively! Spoonbills are in good numbers in Brittany and in front of my house at La Rocque in Jersey. The Swallows sseemed to have just left this week from Beaumont where I was watching them feed on Sunday. Also in Brittany a flock of one thousand five hundred Black-tailed Godwits at Sarzeau in Morbihan being twitched with scopes whan a group of
LPO or Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux marked cars arrived and flushed tthe entire flock with great satisfaction to themselves! Even the hunters show more respecct to twitchers in France than the small group of amateur birders who like to make fun of twitchers called cocheurs in France!
France even has a twitcher hotline and email group: cocheurs .fr!
Kind regards,Bertram.E.B.BREE in sunny Jersey isle of Spoonbills it seems!
