I bird mostly in Hong Kong, where I have lived for 25 years, and in China, which I first visited in 1990-91.
I am a keen patch birder and run a thread on BirdForum where I post on my site, Ng Tung Chai - a mix of mature subtropical woodland, feng shui woods, and farmland.
I also do a little freelance guiding in HK, and used to do much more in China, but a recently acquired wife and the full-time job required for upkeep of said wife have more or less brought an end to this.
My current birding ambition is to see 1,000 birds in China, which I hope to achieve in the next year or two, as I'm currently on 940+.
As one of the "chattering classes" from BirdForum my current personal development ambition is to be as humble as Brian Small.
