Hi everyone, i have some more unidentified's (well partially identified's) i would like some help with please.
Firstly I aplogise for the awful picture quality, particularly the poss cuckoo as the bird was a long way away, and if anyone can positivly I.D it as anything i would be amazed! in combination with this my computer is broken so i dont have access to photoshop, and therefore cannot save any of the images at all.
All pictures were taken today at Blackdown on the surrey/hampshire border, the habitat was a mixture of heathland and coniferous woodland.
The bird in images 1 and 2 that i think is cuckoo took off from the ground and landed in the tree before it flew off. At first i thought it was some kind of raptor, but the image showing the beak shape obviously discounts this. The bird was about the right size for a cuckoo.
The resaon for me thinking the bird in images 3 and 4 is woodlark the black and white barring on the edge of the wing. I could not see this on any of the other possibilities (meadow/tree pipt or sky lark).
The third image i dont really know, i could hear willow warbler and Chiffchaff in the area, but this bird did not call, so it could be either or something else altogether (i dont see the white stripe above the eye that i would associate with these two, and the apparant redness of the beak doesent seem right, although this may be an artifact of the lighting).
Many thanks for any help
