Hereís one of my noisy, feathered friends.
Freshly caught this morning.
He finally decided to, for once, pose for me and eye me with a bit of an expression like ďOK, if you stop going on my nerves after that".
Why are they noisy?
I have no clue. But in summer they donít go on with their soft hooting at night.
They have a sound like a soft squeak which can turn piercingly loud.
Day and night.
He woke me up in the middle of last night, but itís alright.
Heís a nice guy.
And maybe heís just looking for a mate?
Does anyone know for sure why they make that kind of sound?
