I was out doing a little birding in the back and heard a bird callling out at the edge of the property. I saw a green bird with wing bars that I think was doing this call. So I am going to try to describe it and see if it makes sense to any of you.
The call lasted about one second and has 4 parts to it. The first and the third notes are the same note and sound the same for the most part. The phonetics sound like the bird is saying "What cha Do Now?" The Second note is a short note that is higher than the other three parts and is short and abrupt and is ascending in nature. The fourth part is higher than the first and third note but lower than the second. It is longer and tails off in a descending volume and pitch.
I copied it on my cell phone and can email it to you if you send me your email address. It plays on realPlayer if you have it.
