In this book, the author tries to find out why our grassland birds are declining so rapidly, and what can be done to stop it. The subject matter isn't very cheery, but it is still a great read. Very well written, it takes the form of a personal quest instead of a scientific treatise. We all need to be aware of what is happening, even non-birders. For as the author discovers, we may be affected by some of these things just as much as the birds are. Hopefully, this book can help raise that awareness.
