    Default White-chinned Petrel, Half Moon Bay, CA

    First-ever live North American sighting. Photos and text here

    A moribund individual was discovered near Rollover Pass, Texas, in April 1986 where it was originally misidentified as a Sooty Shearwater. More details and photos of the Texas bird here
