    Default Bird from Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary

    Saw this on a long hike - can anyone identify please?

    I am finding it hard to see too many critical details on this; I suspect it is a Streptopelia dove. Though I can't quite see the primary projection or true colours, my suspicions would further go down the young Oriental Turtle or Spotted route, with the long-tailed appearance of the image indicating the latter(?).

    Hi Brian - thanks very much - having checked a picture of a Spotted Dove, I can see why the ambiguity - the body is a bit too blurred. Unfortunately it was flitting about elusively in the trees and this is the best I could get!
