Whilst on holiday in Egypt, I seen a large bird of prey flying across the Nile. I was certain it was a Marsh Harrier, but then it hovered low over the water, dipped it's feet in and then flew away with a fish in it's claws.
I have never seen a Marsh Harrier do this, although I only get to see them once or twice a year at Leighton Moss, so it could be quite common behaviour or I have misidentified something else. It definatley was not an Osprey!! Can anyone help?
