A few photos of a Slaty-backed Gull that I found today at Quidi Vidi Lake in St.John's Newfoundland. Amazingly, this is our 11th or 12th individual since 2006,when we I found our first at this same location. We have had multiple individuals annually. Surely it is only a matter of time before one turns up in the UK. There could be one out there right now. Might be a good idea to check those LBBG's for one that has head streaking extending to the breast, wider tertial cresent and pink legs. I'm surprised there had not been a record in the UK yet. If you guys can get Glaucous-winged Gull,SBGU should be easy!!
