Happy 2010 all.
The opportunities for a short family break to Marrakech may well arise around the second week of February. Not having been in NW Africa before, all the interesting species / subspecies are of interest, but since I'll only have one, or perhaps two mornings possibly free, and probably no private transport, good suggestions on exactly what to concentrate on would be very welcome. If indeed, anything! E.g. better to try to go to Oukaimeden rather than the Tizni-n-Tichka pass? And what's the best way to try to do this - private taxi?
Just in case we did opt for a trip to the edge of the Sahara, where would be best (or simply feasible!) for trying to see some of the desert species on foot?
Also, info for any local guides would be very welcome, in case I can escape, since I'm sure a good guide would find me far more on such limited time.
Many thanks in advance for advice.
