I started my BirdsAndNature blog about a year and a half ago but only recently found this Birding Blogs forum on Surfbirds. 'Dedicated to the enjoyment and conservation of birds and nature", my blog includes many photos of birds including the Snowy Owl (that has been not far from where I live) in Colorado and the Northern Wheatear (second state record) in Texas with short videoscoped clips of both. Also there are more photos I took of the probable U.S. first record Bare-throated Tiger-Heron like the one that is scrolling on the upper left corner of Surfbirds home page and a few videoscoped clips of it as well. No, I didn't fly off to see the Texas rarities, I was fortunate to be there at the right place and right time. And many more photos and some video clips of much less rare though also enjoyable birds and some other critters.
I photograph with my dslr camera and long telephoto lens and recently began digiscoping and videoscoping too (also with my point and shoot camera). I have many photos and some video clips of much less rare, but also enjoyable, birds than those listed above. I hope some of you will enjoy it.
