I'm a relatively new bird watcher who works in Libya and has a home in Bulgaria. Before working in Libya I worked in Azerbaijan. So with the 3 countries I am a bit of a specialist on the south and east of the Western Palearctic. That region is where my interests and heart lies.
I'm not really interested chasing birds who are way out of their range and which usually die! I find this type of bird watching a bit morbid. I don't rejoice when I see a vagrant.
I'm not a kill joy! I am not against collecting numbers though or seeing new birds in their right place
I have a blog called birding for a lark. www.birdingforalark.blogspot.com and am a birding pal for Libya.
