Thought I'd better say hello to everybody. I have used surfbirds for quite a few years, but never seriously, until now.
I have been birding for about 25 years and have been lucky enough to work on some of our best nature reserves as a volunteer in the 90's. I haven't been able to do that for 10 years now, but stil get out when I can for some birding. I have to rely on the CoastHopper bus service to get up to the coast as I don't have transport, which makes it difficult to be able to get out as much as I would like.
I have recently started keeping details of the birds in and around the car park at the supermarket where I work and have started to keep a blog on surfbirds, which is why I have started to use this site more often.

My immediate thought was Golden-winged Warbler as well - but these days I associate supermarket car parks with waxwings!

Around here, typical supermarket carpark birds include Feral Pigeon, and Feral Pigeon. Actually, not even all that many of those.

Want to do a swap? Might be able to throw in a Wood Pigeon too.
