Hello, I'm new to this forum and new to the Pacific Northwest as well. This evening I saw a pair of doves that I cannot identify at my feeder (hulled sunflower seed). Sorry I didn't get a photo. I will try to get one if they are kind enough to come back, but I do have a description:
About the same size as Mourning Dove
White slash around back half of neck
Below slash, back of neck is metallic yellow-green
Bill and feet bright orange-yellow, bill has black tip
I am on the shore of Liberty Bay, a branch of the Puget Sound (just west of Seattle).
I appreciate the help, and look forward to talking with birders around the world
