Amongst many more great images on Rashed's Kuwait website, I came across this labelled as 'Isabelline Shrike' - http://www.flickr.com/photos/rashed11112/4544519098/.
My first reaction was that this was not a typical Turkestan (phoenicuroides). Odd features suggested the influence of Red-backed Shrike, most notably: the grey crown and lack of white supercilium; the rather warmer brown than typical mantle; the underparts (aside from the orange on the flanks) seem subtly pink on my monitor. I 'bounced' the bird off Grahame Walbridge and Alan Dean and both felt that the bird was likely to be a hybrid, possibly 2nd generation.
I thought I would 'flag up' an interesting bird and see what others thought. Any more images of hybrid isabellinexRed-backed?
