There's a ghostly image of a grebe's head left of centre at the top - but since you seem to be standing in some sort of bizarre bird aqauarium, photographing though glass from below water level, that might just be a reflection of something else entirely (and it looks like a Little Grebe, but they don't have red feet and I'm also guessing that you're in the States so I'm no further forward).
Sticking with auks, Pigeon Guillemot or Black Guillemot?

Bird, what bird? Looks like a nocturnal road traffic accident to me.

I reckon that it is a male Mallard as it seems that you can see the brown breast. However it could equally be a Pochard, an auk, a Queen Carola's Six-wired Bird of Paradise or a shopping trolley......

Tufted Puffin? Have you been to Monterey Aquarium by any chance (captive Tufted Puffins)?

No Little Bitterns in the USA, though Least Bittern is very similar. But I can't see where you get that from at all!!
