The BOU has recently published the first papers from our 2009 annual conference on Lowland Farmland Birds 3: delivering solutions in an uncertain world. We hope to have the full proceedings available in October (just a few papers now being finalized).
The papers are free to view at www.BOUPROC.net and cover the many topics presented at the conference including the long term studies on species such as Grey Partridge and Skylark, farmland bird trends in the UK and across Europe, agricultural policy developments, ecosystem service delivery, loss of set-aside, biomass crops, Hungarian farmland birds, soil management for birds, livestock and birds, agri-environment schemes and much more.
The proceedings of Lowland Farmland Birds 3 are supported by the Countryside Council for Wales, Defra, Natural England and Scottish Natural Heritage.
